Catholic Education Sandhurst Limited (CESL) is seeking a dedicated and strategic Payroll Advisor to provide operational payroll advice, education and back up support for our Payroll Network. With a dedicated and collaborative team this role is ideal for a payroll expert to make a meaningful impact.

The Position

  • Title: Payroll Advisor
  • Classification: CEO Admin Level 5
  • Salary per year: $100,149 plus super
  • FTE / Hours per fortnight: 1.0 FTE 
  • Employment Status: Fixed term until August 2027
  • Location: Bendigo
  • Other Requirements: WWCC, National Police Check, Driver's License

About The CESL Office

The CESL Office Team comprises of close to 150 employees working across 7 key functional areas, supporting over 50 schools and early childhood centres within the Sandhurst Diocese. We are a supportive and friendly team who are committed to working collaboratively with our schools to achieve the best outcomes possible for our students. With office locations in Bendigo, Wangaratta and Tatura.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in finance, business or accounting along with significant experience in payroll activities
  • Demonstrates proficiency in interpreting and understanding industrial instruments in the context of payroll systems and payroll processing.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation underpinning payroll
  • Experience in developing and facilitating training and workshops
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders

In 2025, a diocesan first, a comprehensive and exciting new learning and teaching program was simultaneously launched across over 50 Catholic schools in the Sandhurst Diocese. 

Magnify Sandhurst will be introduced across 2025 to 2027, with each phase designed to bring measurable improvements in each learning environment.
