Are you passionate about supporting young people to thrive in their education? Do you value culture, community, and meaningful relationships? We are seeking a dedicated and caring Learning Support / Koorie Education Worker to join our highly regarded secondary college in beautiful Nathalia.

This rewarding role provides classroom support to teachers and targeted assistance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, particularly in literacy and numeracy, while also contributing to broader learning and wellbeing initiatives across the school.

As a key cultural support person, you will help strengthen connections between students, families, the school, parish, and local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, promoting cultural understanding, inclusion, and student success.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Provide classroom support and targeted assistance to students under the guidance of teachers.
  • Support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in their educational journey, particularly in literacy and numeracy.
  • Assist with student wellbeing, engagement, and learning programs.
  • Help foster strong partnerships between the school, families, parish, and local communities.
  • Support cultural initiatives, celebrations, and activities across the college.
  • Contribute to a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every student can flourish.
