Catholic Education Sandhurst Limited (CESL) is seeking an experienced Finance and Operations Manager to join St Mary of the Angel's, Nathalia in an ongoing, full-time role.

The position provides financial and operational leadership and plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the College, supporting the effective stewardship of resources within a thriving Catholic school environment.

The successful applicant will bring strong financial expertise, a collaborative approach, and a genuine commitment to Catholic education.

This is a key executive position responsible for:

Strategic and Financial Leadership

  • Leading long‑term financial planning and resource stewardship
  • Preparing and managing budgets, audits, financial reporting and grant applications
  • Ensuring strong internal controls and sustainable financial practices

Payroll, Administration and Compliance

  • Overseeing accurate end‑to‑end payroll in collaboration with CESL centralised operations
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation, CESL policies, Catholic ethos and child safety standards

Property, Capital Works and Infrastructure

  • Leading capital works planning, facilities management and contractor relationships
  • Ensuring safe, efficient and well‑maintained learning environments

People Leadership

  • Guiding and developing staff across finance, administration, IT and facilities management
  • Contributing as a key member of the College Executive Team

St Mary of the Angels Secondary College is a co-educational Year 7-12 Catholic Secondary College located in Nathalia. The College serves the Goulburn and Murray Valleys and southern NSW regions and surrounding areas. St Mary of the Angels Secondary College provides excellent learning opportunities for students in years 7-12 with a focus on contemporary teaching practice and student engagement, meeting the needs of a range of learners with diverse educational pathways. 

About You

We are looking for a leader who brings:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting or similar
  • Strong experience in financial management, payroll, compliance, and operational leadership
  • Experience in capital works, property management or project management
  • Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills‑engagement skills
  • A commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic Education
  • A genuine desire to contribute to a school community and make a difference
