Join our team as a Wellbeing Curriculum Project Officer and play a pivotal role in shaping a positive, supportive, and thriving learning environment across schools in our Diocese.

Catholic Education Sandhurst (CESL) are seeking a Wellbeing Curriculum Project Officer to join our School Improvement and Safeguarding Team. This is an exciting, fixed term full time (12 months) opportunity.

In this dynamic position, you’ll work closely with school staff to implement impactful wellbeing and behaviour strategies, ensuring a unified approach that benefits every student. You’ll lead the way in developing and rolling out evidence-based interventions, policies, and a common wellbeing curriculum, while empowering staff, leaders, and allied professionals to effectively support all students—especially those requiring extra care.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference and help foster an inclusive, nurturing environment where all students can succeed.

The Position

  • Salary per year: $117064
  • FTE: 1FTE 
  • Employment Status: Ongoing Fixed Term (12 months)
  • Location: Bendigo, Tatura or Wangaratta
  • Other Requirements: VIT or WWCC, National Police Check, Victorian Drivers License 
  • Potential start date: June 2025

About The CESL Office

The CESL Office Team comprises of close to 150 employees working across 7 key functional areas, supporting over 50 schools and early childhood centres within the Sandhurst Diocese. We are a supportive and friendly team who are committed to working collaboratively with our schools to achieve the best outcomes possible for our students. With office locations in Bendigo, Wangaratta and Tatura.

About You

  • Proven experience in implementing student wellbeing, attendance, and behaviour strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of educational policies and Duty of Care requirements.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in education, psychology, social work, or related fields.
  • Victorian Institute of Teaching registration or Working With Children Check.
  • Current unrestricted Victorian Driver's Licence.

In 2025, a diocesan first, a comprehensive and exciting new learning and teaching program was simultaneously launched across the Catholic schools in the Sandhurst Diocese.
