Sacred Heart College, Yarrawonga is seeking an educational leader who can build on its strengths while bringing ambition, clarity and purpose to its next chapter. 

As Principal, you will lead a contemporary Years 7-12 College where students are known as individuals and encouraged to discover their strengths and pursue their aspirations. 

This is an opportunity to lead with both strategic vision and personal connection, strengthening student learning and pathways, developing staff capability, nurturing Catholic identity and building on the College’s strong relationships with families, parish and community.

About Sacred Heart College 

Established through the traditions of Catholic education and the Sisters of Mercy, Sacred Heart College has become an integral part of the Yarrawonga and district community.  

Serving students from Years 7-12, Sacred Heart College provides a connected and personalised learning environment. The college offers a broad contemporary education experience, supporting diverse pathways including senior secondary learning, vocational education and applied learning opportunities.

For an experienced Principal, this appointment offers the opportunity to bring your leadership expertise to a respected Catholic secondary community where your influence will be deeply valued. 

You will have the opportunity to build upon strong foundations, guide strategic improvement and shape the future direction of a College with a proud identity and committed community. 

Emerging Principals 

For a Deputy Principal or aspiring school leader, this opportunity provides the chance to step into Principalship within a supportive system committed to leadership formation, collaboration and professional growth. 

You will be supported by Catholic Education Sandhurst and a network of experienced leaders who believe leadership is strengthened through connection, reflection and shared learning. 

About You 

You are a relational and innovative educator, grounded in faith and committed to Catholic education. You bring: 

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a Catholic school setting 

  • Strong communication, team-building and strategic leadership capabilities 

  • Accreditation to Teach Religious Education or Lead in a Catholic School 

  • Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (or eligibility to register) 

  • A Master’s degree in education or related field (or commitment to commence)
