Position Description
Procurement & Contracts Coordinator
 
Bendigo | Full-Time | Ongoing
 
Classification: CEO Administration Level 4 Subdivision 1
 
Salary per year: $89,312.00
 
Working directly with the Procurement Manager, this position is responsible for providing procurement and contracts support to the CESL office and the 52 schools across the Sandhurst Diocese. This role will provide crucial support to the Procurement Team and ensure current procurement processes are effective, supported by relevant documentation and ensure appropriate authorisation processes are followed.
 
The Operations Function is led by the Chief Operating Officer who also assumes the duties of the Chief Financial Officer for CESL Limited (CESL).
The function partners with the business to provide advice and support in the following areas:
• Finance
• Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
• Procurement
• Capital Planning & Infrastructure
 
The function ensures appropriate systems and processes are in place to ensure that financial accountability, fiducial responsibility and resource and data stewardship are all managed to ensure sound strategic decision making.
 
This work is informed by the CESL Guiding Lights, which ensures we are prioritising the right work for our Catholic School Communities.

The Executive Director of Catholic Education Sandhurst is appointed by the Board of CESL to support the administrative, leadership, organisational, safeguarding and business service functions to Catholic schools within the Diocese.
 
The Executive Director and all delegations via that position, including school principals, operate within Australian law, the parameters of Canon Law and the established protocols of the Catholic Church. CESL is the employing authority for its schools and acknowledges and respects the relational role of Parish Priests and the Parish communities in which schools are located and supported.
