Catholic Education Sandhurst Limited (CESL) is seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator to join the CESL Health and Safety Team, reporting to the Employee Relations, Health and Safety Lead. This is an exciting ongoing opportunity, with flexible FTE available. 

This new position will be an integral part of the Health and Safety Team at CESL, working collegially to foster a proactive safety culture across our diverse communities.  This is a great opportunity for those looking to further their health and safety career who is looking to take the next step and join a supportive team envrionment with career growth opportunities.

The Position

  • Title: Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator
  • Salary per year: Starting at $88,428 (with incremental increases)
  • FTE: negotiable
  • Employment Status: Ongoing
  • Location: Opportunity to be based in either Bendigo, Wangaratta or Tatura
  • Potential start date: ASAP

 About The CESL Office

The CESL Office Team comprises of close to 150 employees working across 7 key functional areas, supporting over 50 schools and early childhood centres within the Sandhurst Diocese. We are a supportive and friendly team who are committed to working collaboratively with our schools to achieve the best outcomes possible for our students. With office locations in Bendigo, Wangaratta and Tatura.

You will have

  • A desire to grow your OHS career - this is a great opportunity for someone early in their health and safety career journey
  • Strong OHS generalist knowledge and experience, particularly working in geographically spread organisations
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to provide support and advice to multiple clients
  • Great interpersonal skills with demonstrated high-quality written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to juggle competing demands and prioritise effectively

In 2025, a diocesan first, a comprehensive and exciting new learning and teaching program was simultaneously launched across over 50 Catholic schools in the Sandhurst Diocese. 

Magnify Sandhurst will be introduced across 2025 to 2027, with each phase designed to bring measurable improvements in each learning environment.
