St Brendan’s Primary School is seeking a Learning Support Officer to join our friendly school environment. This is an exciting, ongoing opportunity to be part of Catholic Education in the Sandhurst Diocese.
Make a meaningful impact by supporting students in their academic, emotional, and spiritual development. Working under the guidance of a teacher, you’ll assist individuals and small groups across a range of learning areas, contribute to wellbeing and inclusive programs, and help create a nurturing classroom environment.
Your role includes:
Supporting classroom activities and student engagement
Assisting with observations, data collection, and learning materials
Providing tailored support using adaptive technologies
Contributing to culturally inclusive education
Offering care and wellbeing support where needed

Magnify Sandhurst
In 2025, a diocesan first, a comprehensive and exciting new learning and teaching program was simultaneously launched across over 50 Catholic schools in the Sandhurst Diocese.
Magnify Sandhurst will be introduced across 2025 to 2027, with each phase designed to bring measurable improvements in each learning environment.
Magnify Sandhurst is set to transform learning for students with more specific and explicit teaching practices, bringing greater consistency and a more predictable and effective education experience for all students.
The Magnify Sandhurst program combines evidence-based practices in teaching and learning to support each student's unique needs, strengths, and goals, focusing on strengthening core areas like literacy and numeracy, building supportive classroom environments, and integrating Catholic values in daily learning.
