The Position
The Role
The Human Resources Leader is a vital l position supporting the Principal and Leadership Team to ensure the effective and compliant operation of the school. This position leads Human Resources, Payroll, Compliance, Administration and operational processes, contributing significantly to the organisational health and daily functioning of the school.
This role requires a highly organised, analytical and relational leader who can exercise independent judgement, maintain confidentiality and manage complex systems while fostering a positive and professional office environment.
We Are Looking For:
The successful applicant must demonstrate:
Strong experience in Human Resources and/or Payroll (minimum 5 years preferred)
The ability to lead and manage administration systems with initiative, discretion and high attention to detail
Experience managing recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle processes
Confidence in payroll processing, salary assessments, increments and compliance with employment legislation and awards
The capacity to lead staff timetabling, relief coordination and daily organisation with minimal disruption to learning
Demonstrated ability to maintain HR records, manage contracts and liaise with People & Culture teams
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide high-level advice to the Principal
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new systems
The ability to lead compliance processes including VRQA requirements, WorkCover coordination and policy management
A commitment to child safety, confidentiality and professional integrity
A demonstrated commitment to Catholic Education and the ethos and mission of the Catholic Church
