Catholic Education Sandhurst Limited (CESL) are seeking an Inclusive Education Officer to join our Inclusive Education Team. This is an rewarding, fixed term opportunity reporting to the Inclusive Education Lead.  

The Inclusive Education Officer is part of a large team who provides Inclusive Education support, including Psychology and Speech Pathology services to CESL schools. 

The Inclusive Education Officer role will be responsible for supporting schools in providing information, support and advice in relation to inclusive education practices.  They will provide expert advice regarding inclusive education practices to school leaders and teachers in relation to students; specifically, diverse learners, learning difficulties, gifted education, health and mobility conditions and sensory difficulties.

  • Salary level: Commencing at $118,234 p/a
  • FTE : 1.0
  • Employment Status: Fixed Term (January 2026 – 7th August 2026)

  • Other Requirements: VIT Registration; qualifications in Special Education/Inclusion and current driver’s license
  • Potential start date: 19 January 2026, or earlier by negotiation

The CESL Office Team comprises of close to 150 employees working across 7 key functional areas, supporting over 50 schools and early childhood centres within the Sandhurst Diocese. We are a supportive and friendly team who are committed to working collaboratively with our schools to achieve the best outcomes possible for our students. With office locations in Bendigo, Wangaratta and Tatura.

About You

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Inclusive Education Officer, with qualifications in Special Education, to support students with disabilities at the system level. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with educators, team members, and administrators. Problem-solving abilities and adaptability are essential to address the diverse needs and challenges faced by students with complex learning profiles. A deep understanding of inclusive practices, cultural competence, and respect for diverse backgrounds is crucial to ensure all students feel valued and supported. The candidate must have a thorough understanding of disability legislation to ensure compliance and advocacy for students' rights. Adherence to ethical standards, maintaining confidentiality, and a commitment to ongoing professional development are also required. An understanding and experience in the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) process is important.
