Catholic Education Sandhurst Limited (CESL) is seeking a Catholic Mission and Formation Lead to join us. This is an exciting full time fixed term (5 years) opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Join us in a key system-wide leadership role where you will inspire and strengthen Catholic identity across our schools. As the Catholic Mission and Formation Lead, you will drive faith formation, support high-quality Religious Education, and foster rich partnerships between schools, helping shape vibrant, life-giving Catholic learning communities across the Diocese of Sandhurst.

The Position

  • Title: Catholic Mission and Formation Lead
  • FTE / Hours: 1 FTE / 38 hours per week
  • Employment Status: Fixed Term (5 years)
  • Location: Bendigo, Wangaratta or Tatura
  • Other Requirements: WWCC and National Police Check or VIT, Drivers License
  • Potential start date: January 2026

About The CESL Office

The CESL Office Team comprises of close to 150 employees working across 7 key functional areas, supporting over 50 schools and early childhood centres within the Sandhurst Diocese. We are a supportive and friendly team who are committed to working collaboratively with our schools to achieve the best outcomes possible for our students. With office locations in Bendigo, Wangaratta and Tatura.

You will bring

  • Leadership experience in Religious Education, faith formation, and Catholic schooling.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to lead strategic initiatives and manage multiple priorities.
  • Confidence using data to inform practice and improvement.
  • High integrity, sound judgement, and commitment to child safety.
  • Relevant qualifications in Theology/Religious Education and VIT registration.
  • Accreditation to Teach Religious Education and/or Lead in a Catholic School

In 2025, a diocesan first, a comprehensive and exciting new learning and teaching program was simultaneously launched across over 50 Catholic schools in the Sandhurst Diocese.
